It's a Girl...And a Boy!

And trust me, we are just as shocked as all of you. We went to our first ultra-sound appointment this morning, and got the surprise of a life-time. But since Travis usually doesn't come to my normal appointments, I guess this was the best time to find out. One is a boy and the other a girl. They are both on their own individual food sources and each is measuring right at 20 weeks. Which is where we are, so that's great! I'm sure some of you are wondering how in the world you get half way through a pregnancy and have no idea your having twins. Well, when my Doctor has done sonograms in the past he listens for just a minute, hears a healthy heart beat, and says, "baby sounds fine." And that's it. No reason to look for two if you don't know the other is there. For those of you who are still a little sceptical, here are a few of the many pictures we got.

Obviously this is the two of them together. See TWO... I told you Char! I guess it is pretty tough to get a shot with each of them in profile, but this is pretty good.

This is our little boy. It was good that neither of them was very shy.

And last, but certainly not least, is our little girl. Yes, those of you that are wondering, she is sucking her thumb. Whatever you are thinking, I thought it long before, I promise!

We are very excited! Reeling...but excited. Oh, and twins do not run in either side, and no fertility drugs were used in the process, which made it an even bigger shocker!

Trip to Fruitland

Near the end of March Connor and I took a trip back home to Fruitland to spend time with my family. We hadn't been home since Thanksgiving and I felt it was about time. My sister Charlotte and her kids were also making the trip from Eugene, Oregon, to meet us in Fruitland. Travis had a lot of work to do here at the house, so he stayed in Pocy. Connor had so much fun playing with his cousins and aunts. First thing in the morning all he wanted was to go outside, regardless of the weather, and he would stay out there all day.

This is a picture of most of the family at the new Taco Del Mar in Ontario, OR. My Aunt Fran is the owner and this was their big Grand Opening weekend. If any of you live in the Fruiltand area try it out, the food is great!
The youngest cousins took a bath together on Saturday night.

The night before we came back to Pocy, our cousin Jessie came over for dinner with her little guy Shayd. He and Connor are about the same age, and aside from a bit of difficulty sharing, had so much fun playing together.

Mac and Cheese with the cousins and aunts (and uncle Dale) before heading home.

Saying Goodbye! One last Photo-op with Char and little Benson before getting into the car. It is always so hard to say goodbye to my sisters because I usually don't know when I'm going to get to see them next. We are all such great friends, which I'm so grateful for, and I miss them all so much.

Connor is 2!!!

And everything that comes with it! This birthday was definitely one to remember. In fact, Trav's parents said they now worry about giving Connor gifts, because he might throw them and flop on the ground screaming. He didn't get a nap on his birthday, so he was very grumpy and mean to pretty much everyone. But somehow we all made it through. And now it is something to look back on and laugh.

Connor got a bike, which he is great at hitting the brakes on while you try to push him. We thought the bike was going to be the big hit, but it was the Lego train set instead. The clothes that resulted in all of the drama are now his favorite to wear everyday. I still feel bad about how he acted though.

He was in such a bad mood, we decided to not even worry about candles and just gave him a piece of his strawberry birthday cake. Which he then refused to eat. I love this picture; although it only sums up half of the day. We just need another one of him screaming to sum up the other half. Definitely one to remember.

Trav's sister Shannon sent Connor this little
"Wheely
Bug" Cow a few days later. He tares around the house on this thing so fast, but it is so much fun!
